Patient information

Dear patients,

Unfortunately, for legal reasons, the German Society for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery is not allowed to provide personal or telephone consultations on diseases in the ENT specialty or to name doctors who are supposedly particularly qualified for a specific sub-area of our specialty.

Please contact ENT specialists directly with your problem. You will find the contact details of ENT clinics in Germany in the "Addresses" section below.

We have also compiled a range of information on ENT-related topics in the overview below.

We kindly ask for your understanding for our request to refrain from telephone or written inquiries via the office.

Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Thomas Zahnert, Dresden

Hearing problems - what now?

Hearing problems can occur acutely and suddenly or develop gradually over several years. At any age, those affected should have it clarified as to the medical reason for the problem and how remedial action can be taken.
Prof. Dr.  Torsten Rahne, Halle/S.

How do you measure hearing impairment?

Hearing disorders can occur in a variety of ways and, if left untreated, they often result in significant limitations. Today, doctors and audiologists are able to diagnose hearing disorders in newborns. The excellent supply situation in Germany makes it possible to develop ever better procedures and methods that provide those affected with quick clarification.
